First, new website! I’m still making tweaks to polish things up here and there, but for the most part we’re on our feet. The former website looked incredible, but the theme we were using was difficult to manage and it had some technical dependencies that were proving to be uncooperative and unnecessarily expensive. This new site, on the other hand, uses a much more versatile theme and I am very excited about its capabilities. We have many good things on the horizon and this new site is positioned to help us maximize making them accessible to the community.

Second, Moxys and I have decided to adjust our direction slightly. Previously we were covering Ashes of Creation and Pantheon – Rise of the Fallen news on this website -essentially echoing everything Intrepid and Visionary Realms were putting out. However, simply relaying the news (even if we put our own spin on it) can get tedious, and we felt it was offering little value to the community. Both studios have strong, active community engagement teams, after all, so why tune in to a secondary source when you can just get the news straight from the… well… source?

As a result, Mox and I have decided to omit covering the news on this website from our mission. We still intend to cover it and dissect it on our episodes, of course, but going forward this website’s new direction will feature our talk show episodes, articles, reviews, guides, helpful tools, and links. I am still looking into options that automate echoing the news, probably from the respective studios’ Discord servers, so stay tuned.

In the meanwhile, Mox is still working on his Tenets of Pantheon series and we are still working to connect with other content creators. Mox even has a new PantheonPlus profile, thanks to Draq. Again, many good things are on the horizon so stay with us. If you haven’t yet, join our Discord server and jump into the conversation. See you there!

Our humble goal here at Disparate Worlds is to become as much of a resource as we can be to the fan communities of both Ashes of Creation and Pantheon – Rise of the Fallen -and we’re happy to report the effort is well underway!

Our journey begins with a couple chuckle-heads launching a talk show, the first episode of which went just live about two hours ago. Mox has also already begun mentally unpacking Pantheon’s guiding tenets via the first few posts of his column series, the Tenets of Pantheon. (Don’t worry, I plan to push him during the show so we can dig deeper on just how these tenets are being implemented in the game).

There’s a lot to be excited about.

We’re already covering the news as we hear about it, but in the long term as our project picks up steam, we’re hoping to “LFG” our way into expanding both our team and this website to offer quite a bit more. Devs play a careful game releasing information to the public, so we’ll be doing our best to build relationships with the community engagement teams of both studios. We are also already busy networking and building relationships with other content creators who are making regular, quality content for both of these games in the hope of offering a carefully-curated list of content creators we think are making ongoing, constructive content that offers value to the respective studios, games, and fan communities alike. As the games reach beta and eventually launch, we’d like to become a central resource for clear, well-written, valuable guides that offer step-by-step how-to information for everything from classes and skills to quests, raids, and boss encounters.

There’s a lot coming so stay tuned. And in the meanwhile, check out our first episode. We promise you won’t be disappointed… much

That said, welcome to our little project. Our YouTube channel is set up and our first slate of videos are coming soon, unpacking and comparing what we know so far (given we’re still pre-alpha) about these distinct IPs -everything from classes and races to environments, culture, and in-game religion. We’ll be covering breaking news along the way, taking care to be deliberately responsive to the news/release cycles of both games, and coming eventually will be guides, livestreams, and a whole host of other content.
